A shoulder ultrasound is a safe, non-invasive examination that uses high-frequency sound waves to create detailed, real-time images of the muscles, tendons, ligaments and soft tissues around the shoulder joint.
Ultrasound is particularly effective for assessing the rotator cuff and surrounding soft tissues and is commonly used to investigate shoulder pain or reduced movement.
