What is it?
A fetal growth and wellbeing scan is a safe ultrasound examination performed during pregnancy to assess fetal development, growth and wellbeing. The scan uses high-frequency sound waves to create detailed, real-time images.
This examination is typically performed between 16 and 40 weeks of pregnancy to monitor fetal growth and provide reassurance about pregnancy progress.
Perfect for:
→
Those 16–40 weeks into their pregnancy
→
Checking your baby’s position and movements
→
Reassurance between routine appointments
→
Monitoring placental position and fluid levels
→
Checking your baby’s wellbeing in later pregnancy
→
Extra peace of mind
→
Checking your baby’s growth and wellbeing
→
Reassurance as your pregnancy progresses
Please note:
This service is designed to complement routine NHS antenatal care and screening. It does not replace NHS anomaly scans or emergency maternity assessment.
If you experience concerning symptoms, including reduced fetal movements, you should contact your midwife, maternity unit or emergency services immediately.

Beautiful clinic, friendly staff and immediate results.
My scan really helped put my mind at ease after some worrying symptoms. I voiced my concerns and they got me in immediately for a scan and then went through the results clearly with me in the same appointment.
I like that it wasn't rushed at all and they make sure you understand everything and even send you your results after.
